The Carbon County Historical Society & Museum has been so fortunate to be able to house Bison Exhibit, which is an 1800 square foot traveling show April 13-June 2, with a sneak preview April 12. Sponsors, donors and members of the museum come together for a special meal in celebration of the rise of the bison population. At one time in our recent history only 325 bison remained, but thanks to ranchers, this incredible iconic animal has made a resurgence in population. 

Tonight we celebrate the bison's comeback, as well as our own museum's. Bison Exhibit is the largest scale exhibit the museum has ever housed and the second traveling exhibit in the last year to include technology and interactivity. This exhibit is of great importance to the history of Montanans and significant to the museum itself, representing our own revival. 

This meal kicks off the beginning of an endowment capital campaign to ensure the infrastructure of our institution lives on, expanded programming and exhibits will continue for the next generation, and the cultural history of Carbon County will not be lost. This seed money will also become the beginning of the remodel of our aging home, the Labor Temple in Red Lodge.

6:30pm Welcome & Introduction of Special Guest & Speaker
6:45pm 3 course meal with Bison as featured menu item
7:45pm Endowment Conversation
8:15pm Conclusion of Event, Buses of Yellowstone rides back to your vehicle
