About the creator:

“The inspiration for my designs comes from an unusual direction. My passion for teaching and the need for medical/health education in developing countries led me to extended stays in Asia, South America, the Caribbean, and Africa. My immersion in different cultures, deep and lasting impressions of colors, textures, landscapes, and the joys of everyday life which have been integrated into my
kaleidoscope view of life. Natural items of woven grasses and reeds, bright fabrics, and colored stones have a palpable life. Their depth, texture and luster speak to the observer.

“Within the cacophony of sights and sounds I have experienced, there emerges a symphony of the beauty of the differences in people and cultures. This beauty of differences is the inspiration for my designs. Likewise, as I survey a collection of stones, the kaleidoscope of colors, shapes, and textures there emerges an image in my mind, an image that projects to the eye a balance of forms, hues, and differences to yield striking, but tasteful, collections of classic jewelry.”
